How to Lock Facebook Profile (Tutorial for Philippines)

Facebook initially launched the "Facebook Profile Lock" feature for Indian users in May 2020. This security feature enables Facebook users to limit access from non-friends to their personal information, allowing only friends to view their posts, photos, stories, and other profile information. Thus, it is an effective way to protect your privacy and your Facebook account without changing your privacy settings for individual posts and photos.

Once your Facebook profile was locked, strangers or stalkers can't zoom into, share or download your full-size profile picture and cover photo. They can't also see your photos and posts on your timeline (both old and new). However, they are limited to viewing your profile picture, cover photo, and up to 5 profile details.

However, the ability to lock your Facebook profile is currently unavailable in the Philippines and several other countries. Fortunately, there's a trick that enables you to activate this feature even if it is not yet available to you. After you've locked your profile for the first time, you can lock and unlock it as much as you like. See below the tutorial to learn how you can lock your Facebook profile. This will work on both Android and iOS devices.
